One Award & two MeMes

I got a pleasant surprise over the weekend. My dear friend, Uma passed on this "Yummy blog Award" to me. I sure was excited.

Now I have to list my favorite yummy-licious dessert(s) that I have ever prepared/eaten. So here they are -

Thanks, Anu of Chandrabhaga, for thinking about me for this MeMe. It's been a while when Anu tagged me. I meant to do it. So here it is -

Well, first here are the rules for the Meme.

So here it goes -

5 Things about me -
1. I love gardening. But I do only container gardening at least so far.

2. I have been collecting recipes from my childhood. Just like some kids have a hobby of collecting stamps, autographs or coins etc, collecting recipes was & is my hobby. & just like if you know a kid with such hobby, people in the neighborhood would keep aside coins/stamps for that kid, similarly aunties in the neighborhood, mom's friends, my friends' moms etc, always shared/gave their recipes to me even when I didn't ask them.
Just last weekend, my mom told me on the phone, that she discovered one more recipe notebook while spring-cleaning. & I thought all of my notebooks are with me. That one must be from the school days. :-)

3. Family and friends mean a lot to me. If we are friends, we will remain friends for the rest of at least my life. My best friend is my best friend since my pre-school days, when both of us were 3.

4. I love ocean. Being from Mumbai, am used to seeing ocean every day. If I am feeling sad/anxious/restless, just one look at the ocean waves, makes me very peaceful. Jogging/walking by the promenade gave/gives me peace and happiness. Whenever we visit India, I never miss a chance to walk by the ocean in the mornings and breathe in that air.

5. I started taking lessons for Bharatnatyam since I was a little girl. I am still learning/practising this beautiful dance. Bharatnatyam has been very good for my emotional well-being. :-)
