1 small potato, peeled/chopped
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 cup fresh coconut or more if u like
3-4 garlic cloves
1 tsp jaggery
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
cilantro to garnish
1 tsp oil
1. Heat 1 tsp oil. Fry sliced onions & garlic. Keep aside. Roast coconut till brown. do not let it burn.
2. Grind onion, garlic, coconut, chili powder and garam masala with tamarind
3. Keep sporuts & chopped potato for cooking adding 1/2 cup water and turmeric powder. Cover the pot with a lid. Add some water to the lid. If the water from the pot is evaporated, pour water from the lid to the pot and add more water to the lid. Masoor sprouts do not take too much time to cook. Check for potato. Once it's cooked, you are ready to add ground paste.
4. When the sprouts/potato are cooked, add ground paste, jaggery, salt.
5. Garnish with cilantro.
You can change the chili powder, garam masala more or less per your taste.
